NELLIE (Kelway). A beautiful single pink Peony to which we...Read More have given our recommendation during the past ten years. Thurlow's new variety, HELEN, is taller, and may be more beautiful, but in my garden the blooms on NELLIE are larger. PRIDE OF LANGPORT has larger blooms with slightly more color and more substance in them, but these two varieties are the only ones which we regard as comparing in beauty and quality with NELLIE. If the laterals are removed, this variety produces most excellent show bloom, and if the laterals are are allowed to remain, it has a splendid long blooming season. We believe it will be grown as a fine Peony for many years, and we are glad to recommend it. $3.00
