It is not by any means as good a red Peony as PHILIPPE RIVOIRE, which variety is, without doubt, the best red Peony in the world. BENOIT, however, is a splendid landscape variety because it grows vigorously, has strong stems which hold the bloom perfectly, and also, because the extra good laterals lengthen the blooming season. It is not a show flower, but is a landscape variety, inferior only for that purpose to RICHARD CARVEL, MARQUIS C. LAGERGREN, CHERRY HILL, and a few other well-known red landscape varieties. We do not hesitate to recommend it to landscape architects. $3.00
