I grew this variety for the first time this year. The seeds were sent to me by R.H. "Horseshoe" Griffin of Efland, NC (DG username "Hors...Read Moreeshoe", who got the seeds about 15 years ago from his neighbor Betty Harrison. He named the variety after her. This is an old heirloom variety okra, as the seeds were given to Betty Harrison's parents as a wedding present in 1923 by family members who had grown this okra since the 1880's. It's not available commercially at this time, so far as I know.
This is an excellent okra, growing on short, multi-branched 3' tall plants. The pods are light colored, thick, and ribbed - and they stay tender even when fairly large. The plants are productive, this was the earliest okra to bear in my garden, and the flavor is very good.
