This is a beautiful blonde version of the normally yellow-haired Golden Ball. I say "haired" instead of "spined" because they really are...Read More eminently-pettable soft hairs rather than spines. It's commonly available in the trade. The growth rate seems to be equivalent to that of the regular yellow form, or actually a bit faster. (And the yellow form is one of the fastest-growing cacti I've ever kept, so that's saying something.)
Note: I've seen this variety/form referred to as 'Albispina' as well as 'Albispinus,' so if anyone from this site wants to change it to 'Albispinus,' feel free. Cactuspedia.info actually calls it both Notocactus leninghausii 'Albispinus' and Parodia leninghausii 'Albispina'.
