This plant grows freely in cool, foggy San Francisco. Restios in general do well here. We have it planted behind a similar row of Chondro...Read Morepetalum tectorum for sort of a two tiered effect. The stalks have alternating bands of dark and light green and gold. The gold flowering heads are plentiful and quite attractive. It gets irrigated once every ten days but I'm sure it could do with much less. It gets morning sun only but it would probably grow even faster if it got more. It actually gets too wide and impedes the walk it is alongside, so we have to cut it back occasionally. Give it plenty of room to spread.
