I only ever saw it under the name "Nodding Violet" he...Read Morere in Australia and all the internet sources I could find only had the common name as well. Gesneriads are NOT my speciality so I'll leave the cultivation notes to someone else for this plant.
The plant does look very similar to Streptocarpus saxorum, at least in photos, but I think the leaves are a bit different and the flowers may be a deeper shade of blue as well.
