Daylily 'Two Part Harmony'

TWO PART HARMONY surprised the heck out of me. I don't like double daylilies, as a rule. I really like this one. The straw yellow of the ...Read Morepetals, with that pretty rich red eye, is a grand combination. The petaloids are numerous when this one doubles, it is not a wimpy double. Neither is it unkempt-looking. Mine in its first year of bloom did not achieve its registered scape height, it bloomed right at the top of its 14" leaves. But I liked that too -- and I don't usually like short daylilies. To top it off, it has these really cool wine edges on the petals, too!

It was just a surprise all around.
