I found some barely-alive specimens at a discount house and bought the best looking one of the bunch for $7.00. Once I put it in the ground it took off. I've had it about two weeks here in Massachusetts, in a partial shade spot which it likes. I'll post later about how it does.
New cultivars are always a mystery, as is this one. I hope it turns out to be as dramatic and beautiful as the variegated aureola version, and one day also hope to get some all-gold cultivars for my garden.
