It's probably on the upper limit of heat tolerance here, though. I've had it outside even on nights where the temperature dipped to 32F degree for a short time. However, it's been under a canopy so frost wouldn't fall on it & scar or kill it. I understand ideally it should have year round temperatures ranging from 45F to 80F degrees, night/day temps. Good candidate to be grown in a properly maintained Wardian Case if your climate doesn't match this tropical plant's requirements.
Sun:
Never expose to direct/unfiltered sun with the possible exception of limited early morning sunshine. Best to use 50-40% shadecloth (allows 50% to 60% of light through).
Water:
Never let get completely dried out, but don't let it be soggy all day. I have it attached to a little bit of spaghnum moss & then tied on tree fern. I water it every morning and the moss is slightly damp by evening. In cooler months, I might skip watering if it remains too damp in the morning.
Air Circulation:
Place where it will get adequate air circulation so that fungus and other pathogens will be less likely to develop.
Availability:
Only a few vendors offer this plant. I believe it is protected, so no collecting is allowed; legal seed propogation should be the only means by which it's sold/bought. I don't know if it produces keikis.
