I received a healthy 6” plant in spring that grew 30” stems by the end of autumn. The flowers are red with pink tones and about 1.5” long.
It was placed in a NW bay window partially shaded by an opaque curtain. I transplanted it into a 10” pot with rich potting soil and some perlite and coir. I watered it every two days and noticed it preferred to bloom on the N side where there was more shade, but that direct sunlight caused it to form more leaves which are green on the top and purple on the other side.
In spring it flowered for a month. In late summer I fertilized it for the first time by adding 2 teaspoons of greensand on the topsoil and within 48 hours it started blooming again and continued to bloom for three months. The vines should be arranged as one would like them to remain permanently because once they grow long they will break if they’re moved.
