Mine is planted in a raised bed in full sun. All of my other hybrid coneflowers planted in the same location are prospering, however this hybrid does not seem to survive the heat of summer. I planted this specimen in the spring during the early growing season, so it should have had a good opportunity to establish new roots. It has been given a little supplemental water to see it through extreme drought conditions & I've removed all flower buds not allowing it to bloom the first year in the ground. In spite of these efforts, it it shriveled & almost dead. It seems to be a very weak plant.

It works well in the grouping, of harvest moon and hot papaya.
