However, even with only a few hours of direct sun mine is totally burnt and baked by the sun in 70 degree weather and it isn't even Summer yet. I've given it 2 seasons to get established but it still burns at even the slightest sunlight and it is NOT hot in the Seattle area. I'm sure it would look great in total shade but every website describes it as very sun tolerant which is incorrect.

Many websites describe 'Jordan' as thriving in full sun, so it may do well in other parts of the USA. We plan to replant ours in part shade.
Probably its better attribute is the improved cold hardiness over other selections like 'Orange Dream'.
