Also would look nice as an old established mass planting/clump beneath a multi-trunked small tree with a sparse canopy (such as Vitex 'Shoalcreek').
Good for hummingbird gardens which often lack yellow orange flowers (as yellow is rare in Salvias).
This plant is not a true lily and is listed as non-toxic for dogs by ASPCA.
