This variety holds its white color better than others. My average size over the 24 pumpkins I had in 2012 was ~ 40 pounds with several over 70 pounds and one near 90 pounds. The smaller ones came from flowers that were pollinated after Labor Day. Carving is not necessary as candle light can penetrate the shell, just score the skin with a sharp knife. A great pumpkin!
