I had seriou...Read Mores doubts as to whether or not they would be hardy here (zone 5b, southern Michigan) but neither one of them have been injured by the cold. I have grown one of them in the open without any problems but it is probably best to shelter them from wind if you're growing them in zone 5. This foliage is silvery-blue and they have grown as fast as 12-18" a year for me.
