Abutilon, Flowering Maple 'Mardi Gras'

This is one of my favorite flowers. My dog picked it out at the nursery. I brought it home and planted it near the compost pile of leaves...Read More and other compost materials. It has grown furiously high, which I enjoy because it covers the compost pile near the house behind my bedroom window. So, I bought another one, it grew to about 10 feet high in only less than a year. Since it loves the compost, I think, I bury my dog's compost materials a foot around the base of them now. I think it works for me and my dogs. And, as an added bonus, there are hummingbirds outside my window.
