Small plants in pots can be mistaken (and even mislabelled) as Beschorneria, but the leaves are rougher, and it rarely forms clusters. People often think it's a Yucca, and articles sometimes appear in the press about 'amazing 20 foot flowering Yucca' in someone's garden.
It seems to be fairly hardy in Cornwall, and I've seen a few in inland gardens.
It's not a plant I would personally want to grow.
