The first year it hardly grew at all, but it survived the horrible winter of 2013-14, so I didn't cull it. In 2014 it grew a tiny bit toward the end of summer, perhaps reaching a foot tall. But since it had started to grow, I spared it for one more year. In 2015 it was still there and grew a little more, but was still much too small. But as it had grown a little more, I gave it one more year.
This year, in 2016, it grew to normal size and produced decent blooms. I have never had a rose that survived four years (three winters, buried in ground) before it finally got going.
The blooms are too pale for my taste -- a very pastel pink. They do have fragrance. I would not buy another rose of this variety, but I plan to keep the one I have. I rate it neutral.
