No blooms on...Read More the new rhizomes the first year, at least one stalk per clump by the second, but by the third year the now-large clumps went nuts with lots of bloom stalks. There are now maybe a dozen rhizomes from each single original rhizome. There's still room for them to spread, so I'll let them go one more year before division and report back if I waited too long. The rhizomes are larger and more vigorous than those of the few other iris varieties I have. The bloom stalks are thick and did not need staking.
