I bought the plant from rare flora website and it reached me very safely in the winter. But the calyces are not as showy as shown in the pics. Mine are just pale green with small white flower bulbs. I was wondering if this is an other species or will it take for a while to grow to show the true colors. If anyone has any more info on this plant pls post.

What is different is the flower buds, they look like little light bulbs hanging on the inflorescence. The flowers are plentiful, widely spaced on the numerous, wiry inflorescences. A very cool plant.
