The blooms are quite lovely and they really stand out. They come at an awkward time for some gardeners; the time when spring bulbs die down and before summer perennials ramp up. It' is a perfect selection for our garden and works great. The leaves are fairly large and grow tight to the ground in spring before it starts sending up stalks. I was pretty surprised it did so well this year because last year it was shaded some by taller perennials.
