Therefore I've grown my plants in a hothouse where they are quite happy and growing vigorously. Have not yet had the pleasure of flowers though.
This habitat was butchered recently leaving about only half the population even though this is a protected nature reserve. Now they are even more rare and definitely in danger to become extinct in the wild.

Leaves are pinkish to pale blue and often have dead tips (unlike suprfoliata). Flowers are pale red. Supposedly not an easy plant to grow (will let you know in a few years as I just got a dinky seedling), unlike Aloe suprafoliata which is super easy. Solitary rosettes (does not sucker).
