You would think that a dormant daylily propagated in Wisconsin would be hardy as a rock in zone 6 Michigan but in the case of "Wide Awake...Read More", you would be wrong. Planted three summers ago, it started having trouble last summer, looking weak and sickly, survived last years winter and came up this spring looking worse than ever. In a growing season in which most of the daylilies got huge and are blooming profusely, "Wide Awake" completely disappeared about a month ago. It is highly unusual to lose a daylily but "Wide Awake" has been quite a loser for me.
