Introduced by H. G. Huntington in 1930; a sport of 'Zua' (which is white), also called 'Zublu' and 'Blue Zua'.
'Zua' itsel...Read Moref is supposed to be a sport of 'Florentina' discovered in 1919. 'Florentina' is a white selection of the species hybrid Iris x germanica[/i].
A light blue-lavender color variant of 'Zua', which like that Iris has crinkled petals, almost as if made of crumpled crepe paper. Some stems may produce normal flowers that are not crinkled, and these will often take over a plant and become a "normal-looking" blueish Iris x germanica.
Rarely (whether with crinkled flowers or not) it will revert back to white.
