Its significantly blacker than matrona, red cauli, purple emperor and even a bit darker than totally teak. The leaves are also glossy, but not as excessively glossy as the totally teak plants ive seen.
If youre looking for the blackest sedum, this is it.
Update: unfortunately it quickly developed a mildew infection which started in the new flowers and spread to the leaves, almost defoliating it. Its been next to other sedums for sometime and they are unaffected so im guessing this is the fatal flaw in this cultivar.
I purchased this because it was on sale but it seems to be attracting bees so that's a plus!
