Howeve...Read Morer, I cannot see this being anything other then in its own classification as there are too many distinctions from anything close to it. In my opinion this is one of the nicest palms of this genus. It has brilliant metallic looking silvery-blue coloration on the underside of the leaves. It is also blue on top with some plants in the wild being as blue as the Bismarck Palm. Grows in serpentine soils from central Cuba.
This plant is a slow grower, especially here in SoCal. Large plants are hard to come by here in SoCal, with most coming from Florida.
