I started 3 plants this year and gave 2 to friends. My 1 plant grew to about 4 feet, vigorous and productive. I got several huge pink/red...Read More fruit before it died this week, late Aug, to late blight(with most other varieties as well) It was the best tasting red tomato in many years, firm, few seeds. 1 slice covered my sandwich and poked out the sides! Ill plant again next year but space more like 4 feet and add more mulch, pinch off bottom foot of leaves for blight.
I am only giving this plant a neutral because I never actually got to taste any fruit. 2009 was a horrible season for tomatoes in my area...Read More.
I WS'd these seeds and set out a small plant the first week of June. It was slow to grow because of a few sunflowers close by. As soon as I cut those down, this little baby took off. It quickly caught up with all my other plants and threw out TONS of flowers. Size was only 5ft high, but wide. All the fruit had ruffled crowns and was very beautiful. I did have to pick the fruit green becuase all my plants got hit with late blight at the end of August. No actual fruit was damaged when I picked, but upon ripening indoors, the Hazelfield Farm was the only 1 that I lost most of the fruit to LB damage ripening on my counter and internal rotting when I would cut them up. Crowns completely sunken in and brown, hence the fact I never acually got to taste any.
If they had tasted great though..............I would highly recommend them becuase of how great my plant did with all the rain and only being in about 7hrs direct sun for zone5.
