I purchased this rose fr...Read Moreom a local nursery here in Parker CO last July (July 08) and, the entire '08 season it was a weedy, pathetic rose bush. It blossomed once last year ('08) and I was not overly impressed.
This year ('09), I hard pruned it and it has come forth in style! Beautiful bright flowers that seem to hold well in vases. Not too horribly thorny... I cannot remember if it smells well, though. Glorious color, though! It survived our extreme spring this past spring (-15F) and is a nice sized bush. I don't think I'll let it get to the full size of 4', though, if it wants to. Seems to be not too fussy with water, either. :) Very happy with the color & size of blooms!
