Neoregelia Bromeliad 'Ardie'

I received this as a mature pass along. I left it alone in a big pot outside for two years. I covered with a sheet for the occasional fro...Read Morest. Didn't feed or provide with special watering. Finally it got so top-heavy that it kept falling over.

Today I divided it and made thirteen large plants!
The flowers are insignificant, deep in the vase of the plant. It makes an extremely handsome foliage plant and is even admired by my non-gardening friends.

N. 'Ardie' has showy white leaves with green margins. The center is maroon red. It is a 2009 introduction.
