I'm hoping the show is an annual thing but I can't comment otherwise on its longevity. It is in a fairly ordinary bed--full sun, halfway decent soil. Its companions are lavenders, echinaceas, salvias, bearded iris, and Korean feather grass (Karl Foerster). The soil well-drained but not purely sandy or infertile.
