Every year I make sure I have a couple of large pot filled with this wonderful flower....Read More So far is the BEST variety of stock that I ever tried. 100% of the flower are doubled, the fragrance is intense in evening and they come with a palette of colors simply astonishing. The pictures that I posted speak for themselves...
For maintenance these are my suggestion:
1) LIGHT:
my grown very well in partial shade-partial sun, because of this and because the intense fragrance is a perfect plant to keep on your patio were you can enjoy the wonderful smell when you take dinner o simply a glass of wine.
2)Fertilization:
they like nitrogen, they like a lot! I do not like to exaggerate , but they can handle nitrogen very well, I give every week a 10-10-10 fertilizer.
3)WATER:
Avoid wilting,especially during the formation of flower.
4) Temperature:
They like cool (not cold!) slightly warm weather, is a classical spring plant! They hate the hot of the summer and they wilt with the low temperature of late winter.
5) Soil:
Make sure you give a rich light, well drained soil. I realize they do not like a lot clay soil...
