However, I was very disappointed when spring came this year, and after waiting several weeks for signs of life, I came to the conclusion that I was not going to have any pink hydrangea blooms in my garden this summer.
The plant is still in my garden in mid-June, but there is no sign of growth. Ottawa, Ontario is supposed to be Zone 5, but I'm noticing that many plants that are supposed to be hardy to Zone 5 do not make it through the winter in my garden, whereas plants hardy to Zone 4 or Zone 3 do quite well.
