We have 2 Rubid...Read Moreoux Peach tree's that are producing fruit right now, (July) and we would like more information on when to fertilize, how to prune & maintain, etc. There are many "sucker" plants growing 2'-3' out from the tree base in the soil. Not right at the base. They have been cut back but are coming back & very prolific. Should we dig them up and get rid of so they are not robbing the tree of nutrients?
How to dig them up & keep them from coming back? Please help!

I planted this peach in a raised bed with extra sand added to the soil in its area. It is a strong producer but requires maintenance.
