So I brought it up to our summer house in Maine in 2021 to see whether it liked the weather here better. Does it ever! This year it is growing vigorously, and it bloomed today with a blossom atop each of two bloom stalks, each of which carries five buds. And the plants themselves look much happier.
The color is extraordinary. Although it's described as red, it's really rich velvety reddish brown. Gorgeous.
