Is a softwood plant, branches are like elastic and easily broken. Do not like to much water, get rot at the tips of branches when overwatered. Old plants get shapes of Baobab or even a slightly botttle form like B.rupestris but without spines. At seedling stage , also young leaves and new shoots are elongated and brown-redish in colour which makes it a popular indoor plant
