Had snow on top briefly last December and lost upper leaves and about six inches of growing stems. Resulting growth flush makes it too bushy high off the ground. Had to tie it to post to keep pot from blowing over. Has shown no effect from temperatures just above freezing in the past. Our winter temperature minimums are similar to Orlando and San Diego. Grown as a single trunk and with height it is a show stopper. Might not be noticed as a bush.

This year I will experiment with a cuttting to see what it can take. I have only seen this plant in three botanical gardens and for sale in one nursery as a cutting. When I first got it I asked if anyone had the plant on Dave's but received no responce. Still do not know how available it is.
