Goes longer without water. It has gorgeous flower and lovely, fuzzy leaves, and turns a nice shade of purple in the winter. I've tried 20 or so varieties. Of those, this one, T. glabrescens, T. praecox 'Elfin', and T. serpyllum 'Reiter' have done well (although the Elfin likes more shade). The heretus and glabrescens are the most drought tolerant.
