Very slow growing plant and caudex primarily underground. Old specimens are pricey. A bit touchy in cultivation (rots easily). Zamia kickxii may be a synonym but currently listed separately... faster growing and thinner, paler leaflets. Don't think its from the same area of Central America, either.
