Only some are saved as it is in a natural reserve now, in north-east coast on Madagascar at Manompana. A distinctive, solitary,rather slender and green - ringed trunk with flat and regularly pinnate, arching leaves. The one i photographed is a young specimen and been told is a rather fast growing in his habitats.
