While I find all Rhododendrons "finicky" ..this one really bothers me.
I had two fairly large 30" 'Hotei' in pots for about a ye...Read Morear and they did fine.Neither one lasted longer than a month after I put them in the ground.
I planted them along with 3 other varieties in the same area at the same time and the others are doing fine.
I really wanted a Yellow Rhodo....
