It is very hardy. I live NE of Montreal, Qc at the limit of zones 4b and 5a and it has no problem with our winters so far. In the "Fleurs vivaces, Guide Pratique, Répertoire illustré" from La Maison des fleurs vivaces, the diferent species of Petrorhagia listed are rated zones 2 to 5b, though DG rates this cultivar no colder than 6a. Is this one more fragile and I have just been lucky so far? They need dry and well drained soil. Mine are in a very sandy soil with lots of snow over them in the winter and away from the wind.
