Unlike other subspecies of limifolia, the pups of H. l. ubomboensis are alongside the mother plant. Some of my plants receive either every other week water in summer and some only once a month; none are watered in winter. One clump is under a winter cold frame, but the others are unprotected and have survived freeze down to 26 F.
