It was not really labeled, but I could tell ...Read Moreit was not one of the many cultivars of the Chinese or Japanese or Hybrid Witchhazels because the flower petals were not long enough. I finally found photos that look most like it here in this Dave's garden page.

This is not an easy plant to photograph, though I've got a few pictures to submit that show this in flower. I know of very few places to purchase it, but it is worth trying for the unmatched color in mid to late winter.
