My plant came ...Read Morefrom Forest Farm in a one gallon pot in February of 2013. As of November 2013, it is about 2 feet tall. I actually bought 2 other sequoia's from Forest Farm in February, another dwarf giant sequoia Blauer Eichwerg (planted in dappled sun), and the dwarf coast redwood Kelly's Prostrate (planted in full sun). Moonie's Mini and Kelly's Prostrate handled the inland empire summer heat quite well but Blauer Eichwerg was unhappy (browned leaf tips) when the heat arrived and has barely grown at all whereas the other two have visibly grown multiple inches and their foliage looks wonderful.
Isn't "miniature sequoia" an oxymoron? Yep, thought so.
