It is from the (latifolia) variety that differs from the regular variety of the species in that its compound leaves have broader,5 to 13 leaflets while the regular variety has 9 to 21 more narrow leaflets. It is also a male cultivar, so it does not bear the red fruit. It grows 5 to 7 to 10 feet high that is usually more compact than the species.
