This plant looks a LOT like...Read More Encephalartos lanatus, but has yellow petioles without any tomentum on them, and leaves are less recurved than in E lanatus. it can also be confused with E laevifolius, though that plant has generally much longer leaves and they are nearly straight and much more upright. rare in cultivation but quite hardy to cold and drought... does not like humid climates much
A great looking plant, but this will not grow well in hot humid climates. If you live in Florida this is the last Encephalartos I would recommend.
