From my experience this plant looks similar to E. natalensis with thinner, shorter, but more lanceolate leaflets. It may be a candidate for the least common Encephalartos in cultivation, even though it may not be as prized as some of the other species.

Only source of new plants are offsets (thankfully it offsets quite prolifically), making them very rare and expensive plants. Future of this species quite doubtful. Known for its light green, incredibly spiny, straight long leaves.
