Desert Cotton

I have observed Desert Cotton/Thurber's Cotton growing as a tree and producing plentiful white flowers in the wild on boulder-strewn hill...Read Moresides in the Dos Cabezas Mountains Wilderness in southeastern Arizona (Cochise County).

A friend that lives in Hereford (near Sierra Vista), also Cochise County, has them coming up in her yard naturally and she calls them invasive. I tried transplanting one from her yard into mine unsuccessfully but will try again.

We live in Graham County near Safford and planted one in our yard today that we purchased at our native plant nursery at Discovery Park.
