The plants are in leaf year-round and bloom in March, with striking white and green striped sepals around a yellow flower. My plants are in shade - from dense to moderately filtered. I tried one in a location that received strong afternoon sun and it did not thrive. They receive once a month water in summer and none in winter. Two of the plants are protected in winter, but the parental plant is unprotected and has survived multi-day freezes as low as 24F.

Somewhat tender but will endure light frosts with no damage.
