Jalafuego outperformed them all, in difficult growing conditions for peppers (humid; cool, wet Spring; growing in amended clay; high disease pressure). Only Jalafuego and Purple survived both fungal issues and bacterial leaf spot to produce well in my organic garden. Productivity was moderate to high, for both, but Jalafuego peppers were about 30% larger in size (about 3-4 inches). Taste was on the milder end of hot. Definitely not mild (I do let my peppers stay on the bush until just before turning red, so they tend to be hotter than if harvested at a younger stage). Excellent texture, enjoyed them fresh and canned. Gigante was productive initially, but quickly succumbed to bacterial spot; Tam Mild never overcame disease pressures and 100% died or barely produced.
